Annals of the Valdecilla Health House (Postgraduate Medical Institute)
Los Annals of the Valdecilla Health House, together with the scientific journal that preceded it thirty years in advance, he Madrazo Sanatorium Surgery Bulletin, which we reproduce in full due to its rarity, They are the only two scientific-medical periodicals worth mentioning published in Cantabria and, in several aspects, also notable in Spain. If only to allow a comparison between eras of medicine and clinic or auxiliary sciences and technology, its dissemination would be more than justified, but they are, besides, sources of historical information to understand essential components of local history. At some point it may be appropriate to complete the series, including all issues published in post-war times, stage in which they establish presence and begin to rapidly evolve many of the therapeutic resources that are still common today. The numbers of the Annals that are exhibited are a compilation of diverse origins, The bulk of them correspond to private libraries of former professionals of the Valdecilla Health House.
Volume I (1930), Volume II (1931), Tomo III (1932), Volume IV (1933), Volume V (1934), Volume VI (1935), Volume VII (1936-1944), Tomo 8 (1945) y Special Issue of the Association of Ex-Intern Doctors (1974) that closes the publication.
