This Center organizes a series of conferences every autumn, open to all society, in the auditorium of the Ateneo de Santander. The one corresponding to 2020 it's been prepared long ago, but pending celebration or suspension depending on the health circumstances imposed one thing or another. Al final, although with a capacity limited to 62 persons, is going to be done (or at least, get started, for now) given that the latest restrictions recently imposed by the Government of Cantabria allow it. On this occasion it is dedicated to the first three titles of the collection “From old to new”, whose edition is paid for with the funds that the Santander City Council has been granting us. The planned schedule is as follows: MARS 17 OF NOVEMBER, 19 HOURS: “Noble entertainment a mountain lover of his homeland, by Francisco Javier de Bustamante”, by Miguel Angel Sánchez Gómez (University of Cantabria and Center for Mountain Studies). MARS 24 OF NOVEMBER, 19 HOURS: “Diary of a Highlander ¿Prisoner? in Napoleonic France (1812), by Tomás Pérez de Camino”, by Rafael Palacio Ramos (House of Culture of Santoña and Center for Mountain Studies). WEDNESDAY 2 FROM DECEMBER, 19 HOURS: “Artistic Mountain and Monumental, Cevallos Fernando Leon”, by Virgil Fernandez Acebo (ACANTO Federation and Mountain Studies Center).
